Ok, but not perfect
Bought the complete package with solar panel, twice over so can have one camera at the front of the house and one at the back. Have four cameras from swann, no issues pairing, or setting up. Cameras record fine, but the delay in waking even when plugged into solar is ridiculous. Courier drops package at front door and the camera only records the last few seconds of them leaving, even with length of driveway and stopping to take photo of delivery. Needs to be a much faster wake time between motion detection and recording. Have a mesh system router so all cameras run on 96% wifi connectivity, so shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully a new firmware update will increase this wake time. Otherwise picture quality is great.

Swann corecam security system
Purchased a couple of days ago. It's a waste of money. Takes to long to come out of sleep mode like 30 seconds and by that time the trespasser has been and gone and it disconnects all the time. Very disappointing

Slow to record
I purchased this camera three weeks ago, the app was easy to download and the camera was easy to par with both my iPad and android phone. Both are responsive to alerts, however the camera operation is frustratingly slow to record, by the time someone walks up my drive they have time to turn around and the camera in effect records only the back of them departing and not their face. My wifi has a strong signal and runs at 260+. Altogether disappointing, I should have carried out more in-depth research before buying.

Very quick set up and installation - no wires. Very clear picture. The Swann application takes at least 15 to 20 secs to load on an S20 Samsung and the camera seems to be a bit slow to wake up to movement - if you walk past fast, it can sleep through the action.

Simple and Effective - good improvement over my previous Swann Camera
I've used Swann products for years, and was due to replace my previous rechargeable camera (battery life was degrading) so decided on the Core Cam as it seemed the most similar to what I previously had.
It's clear Swann have made some improvements since my last camera (about 3yrs old).
Some of the new features I like:
Non magnetic base - the Core camera came with a screw on base - much more secure than the previous magnetic style.
On/off switch - seems a simple addition but a great idea - my previous cameras didn't have one - great option for when I want to conserve battery (as some of my cameras I don't use all the time).
Setup - the new App and the simple setup process of the Core Cam was great - I was all connected and up and running in just a few minutes. It was also very straightforward with simple instructions.
Clarity of footage - a massive improvement. My previous camera was also 1080p, but the 1080p of the Core Cam to me seems much clearer and does better in lower light conditions. I also get better distance from this camera as well.
Upgradable storage - my previous camera had limited storage, but the SD card of the Core Cam I can upgrade myself.
Overall a simple but effective product with some great improvements.

First I was afraid, I was terrified. Then I was comfortable & at ease.
Purchased the Core Cam for my home as there was a lot of reported burglaries in my area recently. As a single mum I needed something easy to set up & very user friendly!
I was recommended Core Cam & it’s been an absolute breeze to set up. Immediately started getting notifications to my phone & my Apple Watch which is great as I can’t always be looking at my phone.
I’ll need to pick up some more cameras for around the house so I know what brand I’ll be going back too!
