Hello BeeGee - the rock is about 1.5-2", mostly round edges and gray. Our rock is locally sourced.

Hi, can I see pictures of what stones would like from Oshawa area L1H1M4. I'm reading people complaining about lost of dirt and clay mixed in with rocks.
Hello Wesley 1 - We are unable to attach pictures here in the Q&A section, but the rocks from the Oshawa area are washed prior to bagging. I hope that helps!

Are the river stones all grey or they have the various colors of river stones?

Sorry I do not know the answer to that, but I knew that the stone would be small. It did the job nicely around the pool deck.

The look of the stone will vary by load and area, but the standard is a rustic, river rock of varying shades.

While the size of these stones will vary by batch and area, most of the stones should fall between 3/4" - 3".

I read reviews from a competitor that the river Rock they received was filled with dirt /mud. Are these stones clean as in the picture or would the bag also contains lots of sand and dirt?
Hello - all stones should be "clean washed" before they are delivered to you.

river rocks
delivery to my front yard was great - no hassles.
rocks are great but way too much mud - a reason for 3 star.
you have to first clean the rocks well and only then use it for landscaping.
last year - i bought the same from costco but it did not have that much mud

Unhappy with product and customer service
First of all the product arrived promptly but is not as described. Not smooth, not blue grey, nor 3/4" to 2". It really isn't river rock at all. It is 99% broken, so jagged bits and pieces, a lot of brown and small. So when I phoned the store I ordered through I was told it isn't a Lowe's product. I need to deal with a 1-888 number because it's sold through an outside supplier. After an hour and a half with a Rep on the 1-888 number, sending email photos of the products etc, she tells me the supplier in Ontario (I'm in Alberta) will contact me about the return. I asked if I could contact the supplier and was told they couldn't give out their number!! So I guess we sit and wait with our Visa debited $180 and a yard of rock in our driveway we don't want. Never again Lowe's!

Product is great....customer service was not!!
Working with Loews was a complete disaster and so disappointing. First it took over three weeks and many phone calls to get my purchase delivered. However the stone was too big so i had to call for a return. As this was ordered online, i had to do the return online. i was told to just take back to the store, which obviously could not be done. Then they offered to send a UPS truck to pick up, again the person was not understanding clearly that this was delivered in a large truck with a fork lift, despite being told three times the size of the sack of rocks. She advised it would take 4 -6 weeks to get the paperwork to start the return. Completely unacceptable. The store was not helpful at all either. I called the Quarry direct and they had it solved and exchanged the next day. Michaela was so helpful and wanted to find a solution. thank you for taking care of my needs. my project is complete and i am happy.

River Rock
Rock came so dirty. Every single piece of rock covers with clay soil and it takes a ton of effort and water to clean it up for a cubic yard. The picture looks so clean and nice, and it is really misleading. The product should be clearly described so that customers must be aware of this problem before purchase.

Nice stones for side yards
Very nice stones used for the side of the house which were delivered quickly. I would have preferred more of the larger stones but it was a good mix overall. After washing them, the colour really pops out.
