Description

Really DOES SAVE my back!
I HONESTLY really LOVE my Snow Joe shovel with its extra handle, and it REALLY DOES "save my back" (as I'm 76 years old). The one THING that I wish they would improve upon is the fact that the aluminum wear strip (cutting blade) seems to GRAB or STICK when I reach the concrete level of my driveway. I know it would cost more, but my suspicion is that a STAINLESS STEEL wear strip wouldn't do this, and I personally would be willing to PAY MORE for one with that.

Broke after 2 seasons
Polycarbonate shovel cracked and fell apart after only two winter seasons. Snow Joe refused to replace or repair. Customer service suggested I glue it. Poor product, poor warranty. Will not buy Snow Joe products going forward.

Needs longer handle options!
The design and idea are great, it worked just fine shoveling the tops off of deep snow drifts but when shoveling snow on the ground, I still had to bend over.
The handles are too short for taller guys.
They need to offer the center section of the handle in an extended version, with a longer main tube section and a longer spring-steel handle. This could be installed onto either the 20" or 18" shovels and would raise up both D-handles.
The website can be confusing, as for SHLV01 they list it as a 41.3" handle, while for SHLV20 they list it as a 50" handle... these shovels are the SAME length!
The problem is consistency on the web site... SHLV01 has both handle length and assembled length spec available. SHLV20 only has handle length, no assembled length spec.
Both use a 41.3" handle, both are 50" assembled length, and both will be too short if you're taller.

Great Snow Shovel
Excellent shovel and easy to use. Actually saved my back from getting sore and made shoveling & slinging snow easy.
One complaint about the shovel is the wear strip after one season is worn out completely and can't replace.

Best shovel EVERRRR!
This shovel is incredible....honestly makes a huge difference in how I shovel now. I’m nearly 70, with an occasional back issue so I thought I’d give it a try. I just shoveled 11 inches of snow from my walkway about 75’ to my gate, my stairs to a lower entrance, and also my mailbox access area and it worked really really well! I feel as if I only bend half as much and sort of do a side toss movement with this great new shovel design. I also appreciate the fact that while the long part of the shovel is metal, the actual handles that you hold are made of plastic so your hands stay warmer a lot longer than if they were holding on to metal parts. I hope it holds up for me, because I’m loving it so far!

Back savor
Easy on the back, my go to shovel. Mine is a few years old and has a plastic scraper fastened with aluminum pop rivets. It's almost worn off already.

Great product!
Today's 4 inches of snow was my first shoveling with the SnowJoe spring assisted second handle. I love it. I've got 300+ feet of sidewalk and two driveways and over 100 feet of the sidewalk gets snow from the street plowed onto it = heavy icy snow / slush. It went well with less strain on my back and much easier to maneuver.
Attaching the handle to the 20" wide shovel was a little difficult = very tight fitting coupler, and rough to get inserted but should make for wobble-free use over time. My other shovel is a heavy steel blade so it cuts down to the concrete better than the light weight poly material of the SnowJoe.
Two Customer service people I talked were extremely courteous and the last one went far beyond anything I expected = top notch company representatives.

Handle is too short
I’m 5’9 and found the handle to be too short. I still bend over some and not good for pushing snow. Also the shovel leaves a lot of snow an ice.
