Are the Larson Model #146-FVE in white 2880 and the Larson Tradewinds White, each measuring 36in X 96in, the same door?
Thank you for the question. The Larson 146FVE storm door is manufactured the same with the exception of the size. The 36" x 96" door will be taller, the glass will be taller whereas the 32" x 80" will be shorter in the door frame and the glass will be shorter in height.

My condo association specifies Larson Model #146FVE or #149-FVE in white as the only approved storm doors. I could not find these catalog numbers on your website. Please help by advising me the proper door equivalents. Thanks.

I bought this door at Menard's - I'd leave a review on their website, but they don't have a method to review products. I literally did not make it past step 1 of the directions when I noticed that the hinge was poorly machined. One of the screw holes was barely on the hinge. I contacted Larson support with the evidence and said I would receive an email with shipping confirmation. 4 days later, no such email had been received, so I contacted Larson support again, who said it would be 12-14 business days to receive the replacement hinge.
I received confirmation later the same day, confirming shipment. Part received 2 days later.
I was prepared to leave a substandard review, based on lack of quality control. However, quick shipment of the replacement part changed my attitude.
Aside from service, this is a nice door. Follow the directions, and re-read them. This door is kind of like a puzzle, but once you go through the steps a couple of times prior to installing, it fits like a glove in the end.

retractable screen won't stay at top
I had this door installed 60 days ago and the retractable screen will not stay at the top. Left corner of screen stays at top but right corner sags about 1 inch from top. I have tried calling Larson's for two days and cannot through to speak to a live person. Who should I call to fix this since Larson's customer support does not anwer calls?

Missing Part, Poor customer service
The product was missing the rail extender weather strip. after making several attempts to contact Larson on the home owner help line, there was never anyone to talk to, always too me to call back later, so i have since given up trying. Also the door hand i purchased had a very sharp edge (casting edge) that had to be ground away to avoid cutting your hand when opening and closing. Otherwise the product was ok. Customer service was a disappointment.

Retractable Screen Unreliable and Breaks
I bought two of these about a year ago and loved them right away. This spring, when I exposed the hideaway screen for the first time, the screen had large gaps in it along the side of the door, so the screen was not tight. As the wind blow, it continued to pull away more and the screen lost its purpose as it didn't keep unwanted pests/bugs out. I manually tucked the edges back in each time I used it thereafter, but one gust of wind opened it back up. The other door had been working great, but a few days ago I went to close the screen portion of the door by sliding the glass back up into position, and the screen wouldn't retract. So now that door has the glass pane stuck in the low position and is unable to be closed due to the screen not retracting. This screen also has the edges pulled out of the frame so that not only is it stuck open, it's also completely exposing my home to the elements/bugs/pests. Very disappointed that in less than a year, both doors have failed

LOVE THESE DOORS!
Love these doors. Y'all need to know not to buy them at a BOX store. Many of your reviews are related to the big Blue Box store. They often times buy and re-sell 2nd quality products. I learned this the hard way on a 1/2 light exterior door. Find a small building supply company and get them there. My Larson is a 146FVE and it's an AMAZING unit.
