Rated 5 de 5 de par Long term testing 5 star I have had this model for many years. Never any problems, and yes, I have a 96 percent high efficiency furnace and it maintains my winter humidity to a comfortable setting. Easy filter replacement.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor design results in inneficiency Poor water distribution does not promote even flow through the element resulting in a couple of vertical strips, maybe 1/3 of the surface area, getting any flow. Consequently you can reduce the published capacity by around 2/3. The only way to improve this would be to increase the water flow significantly resulting in excess consumption and waste.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Doesn't work with High Efficient Furnaces. I bought a new Wait 6000, the top-of-the-line humidifier, and it didn't work. My installer spent nearly half a day installing and trying to troubleshoot the issue. However, after contacting customer service, they admitted that the new Wait 6000 might not work with the high-efficiency furnaces! Unfortunately, there was no warning on the box to prevent people like me (who have high-efficiency furnaces) from buying it. They suggested that I should buy pressure for $62.68 which was sold separately. My point is that they know it doesn't work with high-efficiency furnaces. Why they don't include a pressure switch in their package to fix the issue?!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works great! Very pleased! My 17+ year old humidifier stopped working. I am so surprised to be able to find this exactly the same model and replaced the old one in like 20 minutes - since the furnace duct opening is exactly the same and I didn’t have to recut! And everything works like a charm - my house interior atmosphere is no longer dry in the December and January winter months so far! I can see my window glasses have a bit of moisture on them from the inside without causing too condensation when I set the humidity at 40%. I’m very pleased to be able to find this exactly same replacement model after so many years that works great!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Been working for past 7 years I purchased this unit 7 years ago and its been working just fine. I change the filter every 6 months. The problem i see with people is the sensor issue. If your good with electronics all you need to do is relocate the sensor to a spot where it works. Its 2 wires. It didnt work as is for me. The sensor is the issue here, the water drips on the filter just fine if you follow instructions. I went from 9% humidity to 39% in the winter. I have a furnace made in 1980. I also installed it and relocated the sensor for a friend on a new furnace. Works fine. If your not into sensor relocating then this isnt a product for you.
