EZ726-01 EZ Lock Sanding/Polishing Kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit contains 7 different attachments (423E-EX Lock Cloth Polishing Wheel, 421-Polishing Compound, EZ471SA-EZLock Detail Abrasive Brush, EZ472SA-EZ Lock Abrasive Brush, 512E-EZ Lock Finishing Abrasive Buff, 511E-EZ Lock Finishing Abrasive Buff, and EZ402 EZ Lock Mandrel). I normally do not do much with regard to finishing and polishing, but found the tools easy to use. Used the Polishing Compound with felt polishing tools. I will now do more of the finishing and polishing. I used the Detail Abrasive Brushes for sanding contours in a sample fluted table leg and was pleasently surprised at how easy it was. I used the Abrasive Buff to remove paint from some garden baskets. It also worked nicely.

EZ Lock, EZ Choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When using these attachments make sure to wear the proper eye and hearing protection at all times. All in all this is a very handy kit to have if you're doing any number of projects around the house or in the shop. The EZ Lock Mandrel (EZ402) was introduced relatively recently in comparison to the original mandrel familiar to long time users of Dremel tools; it is a big upgrade in terms of safety and ease of use. Switching between the EZ Lock accessories is quick and easy; once attached to the 402 mandrel there is a secure, positive attachment to the mandrel that won't loosen with heavy use or vibration. While there was a new 402 mandrel for this review, I have had one ssince it first appeared in my local home improvement store which has yet to fail on me after pretty heavy use over the years in a number of projects ranging from a tiling job to almost daily use in my workshop.
The 476 Plastic Cutting Wheel was used to trim several pieces of 4 inch foam core Schedule 40 PVC pipe; some Schedule 40 2 inch PVC pipe; and some .030 polystyrene. The wheel was able to handle all three tasks with no problems or issues. Adjust your RPMs depending on the thickness to avoid damaging the material. Too high an RPM with plastic can cause the material to melt which can coat the attachment, reducing its' service life and potentially damaging the project you're working on. A rule of thumb is to listen to the motor, don't force the attachment into the material; let the tool/attachment do the work and increase the RPMs if necessary, but never under a load and never exceed 35,000 RPM. Your work should always be secured for safety and best results.
An opportunity to test the metal cut off wheel presented itself when I needed to shorten a length of chain for a light fixture; I also used it on the hasp of an old lock whose key vanished into the Twilight Zone long ago and had been languishing in a junk drawer with no useful purpose. This wheel was able to to handle both tasks easily, but they're not intended for cutting high security lock hasps or thick hardware. Always err on the side of caution, take your time when cutting metal, and avoid trying to cut metal thicker than 1/2 the diameter of the wheel.
The Thin Cut attachment worked properly, it held up well. The kerf was suitably thin in comparison to the other attachments which results in less wasted/lost material (thin kerf = less clean up, too).
For your money you get excellent value, useful attachments that perform well in a sturdy compact case.

Great accessories for a great tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When nothing else works I always go to my Dremel! It's great for cutting old bolts, for getting into corners, works great in tight spots. It's the do all, be all tool and these accessories are great for a variety of different things when it comes to renovating and remodeling as well as general maintenance and installation work. Love the lock in place feature for these accessories.

Love the EZ Lock!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great set! And they work really well! Have found them to be very handy for cutting metal and plastic. And I've just started working with stone, and these make it easy to cut stone too. Super fast and easy to change them out and I love the ez lock.

Great product... mostly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since receiving it, I've had the opportunity to use the Dremel EZ Lock cutting kit on two occasions. The first time I needed to cut some mini blinds down to size. I had no problem with the slats, or the bottom weight piece, but when I was about halfway through the top part that fits into the mounting brackets, the heavy duty plastic kind of bound up around the cutting wheel making my Dremel stop abruptly, and it ripped the actual wheel part away from the metal EZ Lock piece that is held in place by the mandrel. That was so disappointing! Putting another plastic cutting wheel on the mandrel was fast
and so easy, that I was back to cutting in about 10 seconds. I was able to quickly finish the project with no further problems. The second time I used the EZ Lock Cutting Kit was very late at night/early in the morning when I had to make a last minute repair to my car before leaving the next morning for a trip into the mountains. I required a stubby 18mm Wrench to fit into a very small opening with enough room to tighten a mounting bolt, but all of the stores were closed, so I decided to just cut off one of my older wrenches rather than take the time to completely dismantle my front end. What a great decision that was! It was actually fun and very easy to do. It only took me about 3 minutes to cut all the way through a thick, solid steel wrench, and it ate through much less of the wheel than I expected. I saved myself at least two hours and had fun doing it!
Overall I really like the EZ Lock cutting Kit. Even though I was pretty disappointed that one of the plastic cutting wheels broke on me while I was cutting plastic, the amount of time and effort saved when changing wheels using the EZ Lock Kit, as well as the performance of the metal cutting wheel were enough to make up for it. I would absolutely recommend this product for cutting metal, but would also give a warning about cutting heavy duty plastic.

EZ Lock Cutting Kit and One-piece mandrel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll get to the performance of the discs, but I must start by saying the star of the show for me is the one-piece mandrel. No more trying to find the right sized screwdriver or hunting around for a tiny screw when it slips out of your fingers as you are changing discs. Whoever came up with this is a genius! I'd love to see Dremel go to a one-piece mandrel for all their accessories.
The kit comes with a good variety of cutting discs for metal and plastic. All the discs work well for the material they are designed for. I used both the thin cut and the metal cutoff discs to cut the screws on a pallet so I could repurpose the wood and they both worked well, with the metal cutoff working the best - as I expected. I used a plastic cutting disc to cut some notches in a 5-gallon bucket and it cut easily and was easy to control.
The carrying case included is nice - helps with organizing.
Overall a very good set for cutting. And I just can't say enough good things about the one-piece mandrel. I Would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a need for a cutting set.

Easy to use, yet durable cutoff wheels
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Dremel cutting wheels for quite some time, and have had wonderful experiences with them. The Dremel EZ Lock Cutting Kit gives you all of the tools you need to work through a variety of materials with ease, and is a great kit to "do it all."
This kit comes with the EZ402 mandrel, which allows anyone to easily add or remove these cutting wheels, as well as 3 EZ409, 3 EZ476, and 4 EZ456 cutting wheels. I have used these wheels on a variety of materials, from plastic, to PVC, to steel, and every time, the accessories made quick work of the job to be done.
I did use the EZ456 wheels to cut through a lock that had been rusted on my gate, and I was able to get through the lock in less than 5 minutes. I also used the EZ476 cutting wheels for a project that required cutting off nylon bolts and wheels made quick, easy work of that, as well. Additionally, the cutoff wheels left nice, even marks on the bolts without creating lots of burrs or other messes.
If you've got a Dremel rotary tool, or even if you don't and need to cut through a variety of materials without needing to break out a large saw, this kit is a must-have in any home handyman's toolbox.
