Jiggling turns it off
After replacing batteries the night light doesn’t stay on longer than a few steps. I think that each time it jiggles the light turns off I go to click it back on a few more steps later it turns off again over and over and over.

Great way to keep track of my dogs at night
I also bought the pink one to color code my dogs. Really easy and fun way so I can keep track of them in the dark.

Love em but they have issues.....
I have owned many of these little Nite Ize for my dogs as I have purchased them locally in Boulder, CO where they are. These were one of their earliest products and certainly a great idea. My biggest issue besides eating batteries is they shut off, some times the batteries just are missing the connection in the pressure point and other times, my dogs may shake and it shuts them off. I have taken them apart to push the pressure point up more but it does not last. I think the material is too weak to hold the position. I will still buy these but knowing I will have maintenance issues along the way.....

I want to like these
But they don’t last long. We have gone through 4 of these in less
Than 1 year. They last for a few walks and then stop turning on. We have changed the batteries and they won’t stay on. The rechargeable one also stopped working after the first walk. Will have to find another product.

Great Pet Light!
I first became acquainted with Nite Ize brand while browsing at the local sporting goods store. I have 2 dogs who love to go out at night, so I decided to give the small, jewel-beveled (the only style the store carried at the time) light a try and was immediately impressed by the long-lasting, bright light emitted by these little pet lights. They soon became the envy of the dog park.
The current lights that my pups have now seem to be the "next generation" of the original jewel lights. I love the fact that they are waterproof (my pups spend a lot of time in the water at night with the lights on), clearly visible no matter which direction the dog is facing, and, so far, seem to last a long time. They have a press on/off design that is different from the original twist-on/off of the jewel light and consequently seem to last longer on active dogs who are sometimes prone to breaking open the older version if they've been twisted too far. These lights are just what I've been looking for. They are visible for a fairly long distance, durable on active, off-leash dogs, and bright without being obnoxious. I did once receive (from a 3rd party vendor) an apparently defective light that would turn off by itself after a few minutes, but the most recent lights that I ordered work just fine and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Nite Ize.

Lights still inoperable after battery change
I purchased three NITE Ize SpotLit. When they stopped working, I replaced the batteries and the lights still did not work. I read the reviews and others have had similar issues: maybe battery coating, maybe a lead or other connection is broken, maybe they are not made as sturdy as previously. Disappointed the lights don't work with a battery change.

Great product but failed solder joint killed it.
The way the collar light is designed pressing it on and off stressed the connector of + side of battery to the circuit board to the point of the solder breaking loose and it causing it to fail. The problem could be eliminated by having the battery contacts come up through the PCB instead of wrapping over the top.
