A cozy bohemian patio

I’ve always had a soft spot for outdoor décor. Slowly but surely, we decided to continue planning out our backyard. To be honest, I love when renovation projects take a few weeks. That way, I have all the time in the world to find my favourite pieces.

I wanted to give our yard a bohemian touch, all the while keeping with the natural tones that remind me of my trips to Africa, Europe, and South America.

Furnishing the relaxation area

To furnish our relaxtion area, we chose the Sao Paulo acacia wood patio set with black cushions.

I fell in love with this set! I knew it would add a cozy, inviting touch to our terrace. Plus, the naturally water-resistant wood has an oil finish for even more durability. The cushions are made of 180g polyester, which makes them waterproof, and are super comfortable.

The neutral colours of the set are exactly what I had in mind when I picture my bohemian patio.

I just couldn’t resist the metal LED lanterns for an added boho touch. They introduce an elegant Moroccan vibe that I love.

Decorating the patio

Here are a few easy tricks to make your patio cozier and more inviting:

Add warmth and texture by overlapping outdoor rugs, cushions, throws, and strings lights.
Hang sheer curtain panels for a charming, intimate touch.
Place cushions on the ground for extra seating.
Include space for relaxation to transform the under-used patio into the ideal spot to start, or end, the day.
Use a variety of potted plants to add colour and texture.
