About us

Quincaillerie Grégoire et Fils is part of the story of Matane since 1947. Grandfather Joseph Hermas was replaced by Eugène, who then passed the torch to his daughter Carmen in 1990.

From 1947 to 1995, the store was located in downtown Matane. In 1970, the store became a RONA dealer under the banner Le Quincaillier RONA. In November 1995, the company moved into new premises, which offer 12 090 ft² of sales surface area. In 2005, the store became Le Rénovateur RONA with a doubled sales area of 25 000 pi² and with an adjacent 25 000 ft² extra modern building material warehouse.
From 8 employees in 1995, the hardware store now counts up to 35 employees, whose mission is to give customers the service they deserve. The staff professionalism, the constant concern for quality client service, and the proper management are undoubtedly the main ingredients of this Matane business success.
Quincaillerie Grégoire et Fils has garnered many prizes over the years, including several from the Chambre de commerce of Matane.
