About us

For the Dubreuil family, the story began in 1939. Edgar settled in Senneterre to start a small hardware business. After his premature death in 1958, the oldest in the family, Louis-Marie, then 20 years old, took over the business to keep it alive.

When a new town was born in 1966, Louis-Marie and his brother Claude saw a great opportunity to open another store - in 1967, Claude settled in Lebel-sur-Quévillon to start that new adventure.
With the blooming economy of that time, what first was a small hardware store became Matériaux de Construction in 1995. Then in 1996 and 1997, the third generation, Claude’s children Stéphane and Nancy, came on board.

In 2016, the business acquired an adjacent land to expand the sales area by 3,200 square feet, providing a better shopping experience to its customers. In 2017, major renovations to the building exterior will be made and will rejuvenate the sector.
It is with great pleasure that Matériaux Dubreuil inc. invests in its community, via numerous donations and sponsorships that support the social, sporting and educational spheres. In 2016, a major donation of $5000 was made in order to contribute do the improvement of Parc la Bougeotte. In 2017, the Dubreuil family will celebrate its 50th anniversary of operations in Lebel-sur Quévillon.
