I installed this according to the instructions, and the blue lights are working but I have not noticed any decrease in water spots at any tap location.

Easy Install, Results Continue
Bought the unit a little over a month ago. Install was 10 minutes with all instructions and materials required provided. I was skeptical, but read some of the scientific reports behind the unit and what is essentially using a coil to charge the ions in the water and it makes sense. Have noticed water feels softer after a few weeks and film on glass in showers is less. We had a water softener that quit after 6 years due to water hardness and this is a replacement that seems like it will be much less maintenance while delivering the same results. Only annoying part is the lights on the unit that are continuously cycling, a steady state light would be better. Can't beat the price at $140 vs. a new water softener at around $2000+ depending on your conditions.

I was sceptical
I bought this over a month ago and wanted to be using it for awhile, I was sceptical but if Mike Holmes endorsed it why not. We noticed the shower was feeling softer almost slippery feeling and less white calcium lines. The price is reasonable and easy to install, it seems to be making a difference.

I bought this unit as a "why not try it?" kind of buy. That was 8 months ago, there has been no difference in my water, at all. Save your money and put it towards a proper solution

Essential Product!
Bought the Scalesweeper from Rona about three weeks ago. We rely on a well for domestic water, and like many well users, we have considerable limescale that builds up in kettles, around faucets, and in the copper water lines. So far, all of the promises made by Scalesweeper have come true. Within a day, the water felt different, and we are finding our hair feels softer and cleaner after washing. We use less detergents, get more suds from the soaps we use, and within a week, the scale inside the electric kettle began to crumble and dissolve. Though they claim it will take up to three months to notice full benefits (such as clearing clogged water pipes, resulting in increased water pressure) we are already noticing improvements after just 20 days! I don't know why more plumbers, well drillers, and other tradespeople are unfamiliar with this device, and would highly recommend it to anyone experience the problems caused by hard water. In my opinion, it is better than a water softener, because Scalesweeper does not increase the salt content of the water. The device is fairly priced and easy for any homeowner to install. As some of Scalesweeper's competitors recommended using two of their devices, I contacted Scalesweeper to ask if installing a second unit would speed up the descaling process. Though I would have gladly paid for another one, their agent advised that a second one would be a waste of my money. How many companies are that honest in this day and age? Je pense que les gens qui écrivent que ça marche pense simplement que ça marche car il on installé la machine et on lue des reviews ! Ça ne fonctionne pas le calcaire colle autant sur la vitre sur le chrome etc bon a rien
