Surprisingly effective
Despite the mediocre reviews, we wanted a "safe" catch-and-release method, so we took a gamble... we successfully caught two mice the first day of use, and another on the second day. The mice were successfully released in a field over 5km away, unharmed. You have to look at the trap with a flashlight, or outright lift it up, if not, you may not notice the little critters inside as the plastic is a smokey grey - practically matching the mice colors... Great product, easy to use.

Never caught one mouse
Have two of these which I have put bait inside and set out for last four years along with various other types of mouse trap..these have never caught one mouse while the others have been successful. Don't waste.your money!

Caught 6 mice with 4 attempts.
Caught 6 mice with 4 attempts. This type of trap works very well. Mice go in and then patiently wait to be released. (Note: the damage to the lid in the picture is my own fault. Mice didn't do that).
