Using your smartphone or tablet, send multiple cooking instructions at the same time and receive notifications about the cooking status or device connectivity. The temperature is set automatically according to the recipe you enter, giving you great results without having to check your meal constantly. Functions include detection cooking that monitors food status and adjusts cooking time as needed, as well as true convection and steam cooking modes, for results reminiscent of a traditional range. Easily read your display no matter where you are in the kitchen with a sensor that immediately wakes up the appliance when you're close and adjusts the display text size and volume based on your distance. The CleanRelease nonstick interior simplifies cleaning when it comes to liquid spills, while the concealed auto-adapt fan system with 4 speed airflow settings (400 CFM maximum air flow rate) eliminates smoke and odours in no time.

Much better than my previous microwave
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Had this about a month. Long time to heat on convection over 350 degrees but acceptable as a second source to either my toaster over or oven. I really like the electronic touch pad. I have it connected to the internet and can perform a number of functions with my phone. It does reboot randomly from time to time but does recover without intervention.

Why did I wait so long...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am still getting used to the convection and combo convection/microwave settings, but I'm loving it. Food is beautifully browned and cooking in less time. I highly recommend this microwave/convection oven.

Buyer beware: Immediate problems, still not fixed
Right from installation, unit resets at random or locks up requiring a power reset to restore operation. Diagnosed as a front door problem, 1st replacement door powered up ok but did not fit mechanically. Was determined the hinge pin assembly was mis-manufactured. Second replacement door was dead on arrival. Third replacement door was dead on arrival. Whirlpool is now guessing that newer doors are now incompatible with older (less than 1 year old) main electronics board. Now waiting for a replacement control board but apparently they can't tell the difference between and old style board or a new style board. In fact they can't even tell if there is any difference between control boards. Completely guessing and essentially blaming the problem on the fact they can't even track product configuration or parts compatibility, which wouldn't be a problem if it worked correctly in the first place. I asked for a replacement microwave so we'd know all the parts are tested together to assure compatibility, but no they will continue to replace parts in the hope that it will eventually work. My last Whirlpool.

Power level is dissappointing

Being that this is a smart appliance I was expecting the power level to be at 1100 watts however I have noticed that the performance when using the smart technology on certain foods does not cook as would be expected. Also the fan draw leaves a lot to be desired.

It has a mind of its own
We just purchased this home and the previous owners remodeled the home and had purchased all whirlpool appliances with extended warranty. Well this microwave shuts itself down and then reboots, then works then reboots we don't know what to do at this point. very frustrated to say the least. We need help
