Description
This Whirlpool gas cooktop offers plenty of cooking space with a large 36-inch surface. Its continuous cast iron grates allow for convenient access to spills thanks to EZ-2-Lift hinges, so you can lift the grates without having to remove them. The grates can also go in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. The surface's raised SpillGuard edges prevent liquids from spilling out of the cooktop and the 5 sealed burners prevent food from falling inside. The powerful 18,000-BTU FlexHeat burner is ideal for quick boiling, while the 5,000-BTU AccuSimmer burner comes with a power reduction function that provides precise control at low temperatures. This cooktop can be installed near a wall oven or as a standalone appliance.

Cooktop is good - griddle not so much
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The burners all work effectively. My only dis-satisfaction is with the stovetop griddle. It fits only on the right side of the cooktop, which has the extra large burner and the smallest. In my opinion it should have been designed to fit on the left side where the two burners are the same size, thereby providing even heat for cooking large batches of pancakes, eggs or whatever.

Really hard to simmer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In order to simmer a dish I have to use the smallest burner. There is no way to get a low heat on the others. Also, the griddle fits over the smallest burner and a large burner so the heat is not very even.
