Description
These Whirlpool filters will reduce the concentration levels of many contaminants to provide bottled water quality water right at your kitchen sink for a fraction of the cost. They're designed for use with municipal and private well water supplies. They fit in Whirlpool's WHADUS5 and WHED20 systems. They have a life of 6 months and will need to be replaced twice a year, but that process will only take seconds and create no mess (you won't even need to turn off your water supply!). NSF-certified.

Replaced filters now low water flow
Have this system for 12 years in our kitchen. Always been happy with the taste and operation of the filter system and recommended it to friends.
Just replaced the filters (2 of them) after 6 months. The water flow is very slow now, has an off taste and is slightly cloudy. It does clear after standing a while in the glass.
Also there used to be instructions to let the water run for 5 or 10 mins to flush out filters. No more instructions. I did let the water run for 10 mins. No improvement on water flow or taste. Takes about 45 secs to get 8 oz. Tap water (unfiltered) tastes
fine, good water pressure and as clear as a bell. We're on municipal water.

Great operation, but broke at 2 years old
System creates very drinkable water. Unfortunately, a drip in the middle likely means main unit needs to be replaced (WHED20). Not what I was hoping to run into when it is less than 2 years old.

Weird water taste after filter replacement
I have owned this Whirlpool water filtration system for over seven years now. While it works well enough, my chief complaints are as follows: expensive filters, inexplicable reduced water flow (even after changing filters), and worst of all: disgusting, odd-tasting water for several days (extremely unnerving) after replacing filters. Also, a simple 6-month timer on the dispenser is not an accurate indication of filters needing replacement since water flow from house to house is completely different. I am also unable to easily find replacements for our WHED20 model filter. Why isn't there an easy guide to show which filter now replaces ours? Frustrating.

Great even if you have city water
In our house we have city water. We installed the WHED20 at our kitchen sink for tea and coffee plus drinking water. What a world of difference. There is no chlorine taste, no minerals, just pure crystal clear water.

Great solution to terrible Vegas water.
I've had this filter system in my house under my sink, and have changed the filters every 6 months and have never had one minutes trouble with it. It really makes drinking Vegas water tolerable . We couldn't drink the water without it and I'll never be without it. I'm a plumber by trade and i recommend it over an RO system to any of my customers that ask. Thank you Whirlpool!

Water tastes much better
We needed a replacement for our old filter single stage. We decided on the dual stage filter system from Whirlpool and so far are glad we did. The water looks and tastes better. Easy to install and fits nicely under the kitchen sink. Even if your not handy you can follow the instructions. Yes I do read instructions.
