Finding instructions for keying in the codes.
I have a model that is probably 5 years old. I was trying to program in another code and I have looked all over for instructions. I wiped out all my codes but now I can't get any in. The super frustrating part of this is finding instructions for this basic model and having directions that work. I haven't found either one. I guess I have to go buy a new lock with instructions in it. I am super disappointed in this product and manuals.

I installed this deadbolt on my front door, it matches my handle that was already in place. The installation was easy, the template and instructions are really clear. We don't have to worry about forgetting our keys anymore! I love the sleek finish on my new deadbolt.

Satin Nickel on Outside (Key Side) Only
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was excited to receive the Weiser Elements, by Weiser Electronic Deadbolt as we are in the middle of extensive renovations to our home. We recently installed a garden door that leads from our kitchen to our driveway and thought this would be the perfect addition.
The coded lock is perfect for our lifestyle. We don’t have to worry about our kids losing a key and friends or family have an easy way to get into her home if they need to load her pets.
The satin nickel matches our existing door knob and fits in with our decor. The one big drawback to this model is the back of the deadbolt is black plastic. It does not look as attractive from inside the house as it does on the outside. This is unfortunate, because we entertain often in our kitchen and our house is open concept.

So EASY!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We had been wanting to change our traditional door lock to a key pad entry so we wouldn’t need to worry about our school aged kids losing keys. We kept pushing it back and putting it off as we plan to replace our front door soon and thought we would do it all at once. I’m now wishing we had done this months ago! We found our front door unlocked often when we got home, unsure if our kids were in a rush and didn’t have time to lock it, or if they couldn’t figure out how to lock it. These days are long gone. It’s one button to lock the door so very quick and easy. The key pad allows you to program multiple codes in, so everyone can have a code that’s easy for them to remember. Installation and set up was super quick and easy, my hubby had no issues getting us set up in just a few minutes. We have been using the pad for several weeks and it’s been working flawlessly. I find it a little loud (especially inside) when it’s being locked, hubby likes it because (as he pointed out) he knows it’s locked. The only one thing I dislike about it is, we ordered the satin nickel finish to match all the hardware in our house, however only the outside is this finish. The inside is a solid black box that matches nothing and stands out like a bit of a sore thumb. Definitely something that was overlooked in the design stages. I was really happy to receive this to test and overall super happy. The 4 star rating as opposed to a perfect 5 was due to the black hardware inside.

Not that easy to install
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) What an experience. If it werent for the fact thay my dad had various tools, I don't think I would've been impossible install (at least properly). First of all the process is not so clear cut. maybe it was just my circumstances but we struggled to install it on the door. It didnt help that the we had to cut the door outer edge as it was too thick and the metal part wouldn't fit in so we had to chisel it down so it'd lay flat. We had issues with placing the latch and the mounting plate. Then attaching the outdoor/keypad was another intensive experience. However adding the codes was easy. Overall it took us over 50min. So far its been good and easy to open/ close and I having the extra security of both keypad and key. And while I do like it, the installation process is definitely more for people who have experience adding doorbolts and who have the tools.

Amazing deadbolt!

Upon receiving the deadbolt I couldn’t have it installed fast enough. We have a back door on our patio that was perfect for installing it, as whenever we go away on vacation we have a house-sitter come to look after our cat and our gardens at our house. We always leave one of our keys for her use to access our house. Having a key code deadbolt is life changing for this! We feel much more secure, as well as having a great way to access our house if we ever get locked out. It took my husband about 5 minutes to install and it is aesthetically very nice! Love this! Thank you @influenster!

So convenient! Big Upgrade!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This Weiser Electronic Deadbolt Traditional in Satin Nickel is such a big upgrade from our original Schlage Door Lock! Our door hole unfortunately did not have the right size to fix so we had to buy a Dewalt Door Cutter to make a bigger circle for the Weiser Deadbolt to fit in. Installing the Weiser Deadbolt was very easy to do and now going in and out from our garage door is so easy and convenient now. No need to always fumble and search for keys to lock and open the door. Just having to press the lock button will lock the door and when entering just need to press numbers to unlock the door! There is no fear now of forgetting the keys or being locked out and best part is that this Deadlock also automatically kicks itself in 10 minutes! So there is no fear of if you forgot to lock the door or not. The lock will do itself if you haven't! Would have liked the number pad to have each of it's individual numbers on it as it would provide more security but for this lock the more unique numbers you use it would still provide some good security too Thank you so much Influenster and Weiser for giving this for free in exchange for a review!!
