How do I reset the Electronics 270 SmartCode Satin Nickel Single-Cylinder SmartKey Electronic Deadbolt. I don't know the code.
To perform a factory reset on the lock, please follow these steps:
1. Press and HOLD the Programming Button for 15 seconds.
2. Press the programming button again. A factory reset will delete all User Codes and change all programming to factory settings.
3. Add a User Code per instructions on page 19. After the first User Code is created, the latch bolt will automatically retract and extend to learn the locking and unlocking direction of the door.

How many digits can the code be? How do I reset it?
Up to 50 User Codes can be saved. User Codes should be 4 to 8 digits in length. For security reasons, the first 4 digits of each User Code must be unique. For example, you are unable to program a User Code 1-2-3-4-5 as well as a User Code 1-2-3-4-6. The factory reset instructions can be viewed on page 19 of the installation guide provided in the link below.

A nice unit - well made
We bought this electronic deadbolt for our garden door and it works great. Now we don’t have to carry a key with us when we walk the dogs. I think it will be important to make sure that the deadbolt doesn’t stick when the door is closed, as that could be problematic. Too much pressure from weatherstripping or poor adjustment of the door could cause this problem. The electric motor may not be strong enough to overcome any friction on the deadbolt, though I have not tested it.

no more keys !!
I installed this 2 weeks ago so far very happy with this lock. It is a straight forward install for the most part
I could not get the lock to enter program mode, I tried 3 different units and all 3 did the same thing, here is a
install tip for you, make sure to use new high quality batteries if you still can not get it into program mode
push on the batteries and roll them back and forth pushing them againts the battery compartment and all
should be good, I did this on all 3 locks that I had issues with and it work on all of them. this lock looks
good installed on the door and is very easy to program with your access code.
