Can you purchase a gate which would match or suit this particular arbor?
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately we do not sell any gates that would match the westwood arbor material. I wouldn't recommend hanging a gate on the Westwood Arbor since the posts are rather small - 2"x2.5".

Does this arbor need assembly
Yes, side panels come assembled in a box but the rest, top beams and the pieces above those, need to be screwed.

Hi, will this product hold the weight of my grapevine? It's under 50lbs.
The arbor is fairly study, I wouldn’t do pull ups off it but a static load from a vine won’t be a problem.

It states the width is 24 inches....but isn't that the depth?
The inside arbor width is 42 inches. The depth is actually 18 inches. You can download the Dimensions PDF info file for the Westwood arbor at www.newenglandarbors.com, other info is provided as well. is this free standing on its own? i have a windy concern ... oi hoping there are there posts that you sink and then the 4 legs go over the posts?
This is not a free standing arbor. There are 4 steaks that you attach to the bottom of the posts and you put them into the ground with concrete around them.

Smells nice and easy to put together
Smells like a sauna! Not an expert on lumber, but seems to be cedar. Kit was easier to put together than a Lego set. My 2 kids age 8 and 14 even helped.

Cedar Arbor
This was purchased for use in our garden wedding. The cedar aroma opening the box set the stage. Assembling this weekend, all screws needed were included. With the lumber shortage ongoing this was a great deal.

Easy project
This took about 1 hour to build with one person. It's stable enough sheltered by the wind that the spikes it comes with will be enough for us (we don't need to dig posts). It looks nice and is relatively sturdy that I expect it to last for years.

Beautiful arbor
We purchased this arbor on-line. It was delivered to our door within 2 days. Very easy to assemble and install. It is a great addition to my garden. The price was right too!
