works well !
I am using these two traps year round and still catching mice, sometimes three in one night. Did not seem to be able to escape. I bait them with peanut butter and nuts, works well. Can easily release the mice, no problem once the top door is open.

Waste of money
Perfectly ignored by extremely active mice that happen to move in with us. I could find mouse droppings all arount it.

Dissappointing
I bought this almost a month ago and the first night I baited it with attractant and set it out. The next morning the bait was gone but several mouse dirts and mouse footprints were all that was in the trap. No mice.

Works well to humanely catch mice
I have two of these traps and for the past week have been catching 2-3 mice each day.
They are easy to set up and usage is safe around pets and kids.
A few tips:
- although it says bait isn't required I've been using a bit of peanut butter or cheese to encourage them to go in
- the mice don't always want to leave the trap when you release them; they'll sometimes hide in the entrance ways. When this happens, I've turned over the trap and left it, then returned to check on it a little while later (I'm releasing them at my fence line which is next to a forest. I think/hope I've found and sealed where they were entering the house - this may not be as practical if you're driving to release them elsewhere unless you don't mind waiting a few mins)
- some mice may be noisy in the trap, and it's possible the noise is them trying to get out. So far I've had one escape artist but many others successfully trapped. If you can release them shortly after you hear any noise they probably won't escape
- upon closer inspection, the trap that the mouse escaped from looks to have a bit less spring on that side. It's the older of the two traps and may need to be replaced if I notice any other escapees

Trapped my intruder!
This took about two days to trap the little mouse that decided to take up residence in my home, but in the end he was trapped alive and well and could not escape. It is virtually impossible for them to get back out so no need to buy and mouse paper or anything. I just put some peanut butter in the trap and it got him. The only thing is that this trap is made for very small mice. The entries are not very big. It won’t work if your pest is larger.
