What is the minimum diameter duct required for this product?

Does this fan require a vent or does it also have the recirculating option?
Hello gqgiant, Thank you for your request, this model is convertible, you have the option for ducted (air going outside) or non-duct (recirculation), you will need to purchase a charcoal filter purchased separately #HPF30.

Easy to install, quiet operation and good looking!
This hood catch our eye and we went for it, best decision ever, very nice looking hood, easy to install, it is very light and can be install by one person only although I recommend to have someone close by to give you a hand when the time comes to hold it to screw it up if you are not using the provided mountain rails (as I did). Is is very quiet and looks very nice and stylish. it comes with two halogen bulbs which I replaced with LEDs

Très esthétique, mince et SILENCIEUSE !
L'apparence est très esthétique, elle est 3 fois plus forte que ma hotte standard de 1990 et elle est 2 fois plus silencieuse, même à vitesse maximale. L'installation était très simple à deux personnes, et grâce aux pièces EZ1, j'aurais pu l'installer à une seule personne. N'oubliez pas d'avoir sous la main un serre-fil Mollex, il n'est pas fourni.

Happy with purchase
I bought and installed this yesterday so I can't speak on the long term quality but so far I like it. Upon researching hood vents I noticed the Broan and Venmar models has the exact same specifications then noticed on the Venmar box is says "Broan NuTone", so you're getting a Broan for a slightly lower price.
The installation was easy (when replacing a vent) but the instructions were tough to follow. The stainless steel is nice and doesn't show fingerprints. The lights are bright but get very hot, due to being halogen, it would be nice to have LED lights.
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
