Description
The energy recovery ventilator (ERV) is the lungs of your home. It brings fresh filtered air inside while eliminating stale air and airborne pollutants. The ERV system is also eco efficient, it recovers heat and recuperates humidity which greatly improves the overall efficiency and comfort. The ERV minimizes the loss of heat or coolness because it transfers heat from exhaust air expelled from the house to the fresh air entering the house, without mixing both airflows. An ERV maintains a relative humidity of 40 to 50 percent, which is ideal for your health and protects your home from both excess moisture and mold as well as cracking and damage caused by overly dry air.
