Pivoting tunnel system makes roof pitch adjustments easier and allows more light to be captured. Flexible tunnel allows easy installation around attic obstructions in short runs. 1-piece low profile metal flashing provides an integrated look with the roofline.

Is there an insulation kit available?
There is no need to insulate the tunnel through the attic space. This is part of why a SUN TUNNEL® Skylight can quickly transform a room – in less than a day. At the ceiling level, there is a double diffuser that is the thermal break keeping the warm air separate from the air of the attic. The connection on the attic side is insulated and the vapour barrier sealed off, but the rest of the tunnel does not need insulating.
This is unlike a traditional skylight, where the skylight shaft is open to the room below and the air flows freely. In that case, the thermal break is the glass at the roof level.
The double diffuser of the SUN TUNNEL® Skylight prevents the warm air of the house from ever getting into the attic or the reverse.
