Description
Pre-fabricated flashing kit with engineered roll-formed corners. Includes adhesive underlayment. Decreases installation time. Required for leak-proof installation. Warranty: 10 years for defective parts on skylights and flashing, 5 years for defective parts on sunscreens.
- EDL flashing is designed for use on roofs with shingles, shakes, or slate up to 1/2 in. thickness with a minimum pitch of 14° and a maximum pitch of 85°
- EDL C06 flashing is designed specifically to fit VELUX FS, VS, VSS, and VSE series skylights in sizes C01, C04, and C06
- Flashing kit model cannot be installed on skylights from other manufacturers, or other VELUX skylight models not noted above
- Deck mounted flashing kits for tile roofs (model EDW) and metal roofs (model EDM) are available

Going strong after 30 years
I put two of these in a gable type bedroom over 30 years ago. Performance is top notch, no leaks. A great product!

Its a quality built in to the product every time
I have been a carpenter for over 40 years. I have installed many competitors products that can't come close to what velux has achieved. The roof window, no matter what model, is a win win. They take the guess work out of flashing and make it simple. The unit comes with a pre-bent flashing kit that goes together like a simple puzzle. That makes your install that much more enjoyable. The only down side is that their product is not protected well, especially during shipping. The face of the unit only has two strips of foam, at the top & bottom. They should have a full piece of foam to cover the entire face of the unit because that's the most vulnerable. All aside you will be very pleased with your purchase.

Not sure what Mary Jane was expecting from Velux. Roofs are hot, direct sun is hot. Her dealer should have told her, in my opinion. Velux can't control where a window is installed. I have two GGL-1 skylites from 1984 and still love them.

Beautiful, versatile window
My large center-pivot roof window has been providing a tree-top view and fresh air for well over 20 years. I love the option to open the vent without opening the window. Great, long lasting performance.

Let There Be View
We just had ten center-pivot Velux windows installed in our new attic living space. We now have views of both Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker, the length of Lake Washington, the Cascade Mountains and downtown Bellevue, WA. It's breathtaking both day and night. Next year we'll be able to touch the Blue Angels when they fly over during Seafair!
