Great compact sprayer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with most of the Wagner tools I used, this one lives up to the same performance. The light weight and portability makes it very easy to move around and use. I like that its more compact than others I have used. Cleanup with this is also very easy and then its ready to go again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spray unit worked very well and sprayed a great finish. Although the unit required an extensive prime process, the finish was great. The clean up was very easy and I found using paint directly from the can made cleanup even easier!

I love this tool! Makes any job a breeze.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing unit! Made painting a large house a breeze! No mixing and draws right from a paint can/bucket was great. I think anyone would be happy to own the Control Max 1500. I wish I had more things to paint. It’s winter here now, so maybe some siding or fence painting in Spring! Can I actually be looking forward to it?

Don’t be like me - read the directions!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Note to new users: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ALL THE WAY THROUGH! I read through them once, put the sprayer together and didn’t pick it up to use for about a week. Well, I missed something somewhere because paint was leaking and spraying everywhere! Totally my fault! Retightened the connections, reread the instructions and discovered I needed to set the sprayer to 5 when I was ready to spray. I had it at 2 - big mistake! Huge mess! I was used to the small hand sprayers where you control the spray based on what you are painting. Not quite the same concept. I will say once I got everything set right, it sprayed like a charm! When I checked it for dryness, it was nice and smooth. I felt like I finally achieved nirvana and a professional finish after 4 years of using hand sprayers. I will say, the 1500 was a little overkill for the piece of furniture I was painting but it was soooo much faster and a much better finish. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up to try this on my shed!

Right tool for the right job!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before you look further into this sprayer, make sure that it fits the job ahead of you, this is not the right sprayer for shooting a hobby project in the garage. However, if you are looking for fast, accurate coverage and relatively easy to follow instructions, this is totally the sprayer for you. The Control Max 1500 was my first step into the larger HEA stand sprayers. As such, there was a bit of a learning curve when it comes to setup and ultimately cleaning the sprayer. Once I had it fired up it was super easy to use and the results speak for themselves. I was able to achieve complete and even coverage in minutes. With five levels of pressure it was able to handle any type of paint I put through it. Make sure that you set aside a bit of time for cleanup of the sprayer at the end. This isn’t a quick breakdown plastic sprayer, you will need to follow the guide and cycle cleaner and flush appropriately, but it is well worth it in the end!

Easy way to paint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I am a weekend project homeowner. I had to paint my 12’ X 24’ aluminum sided shed. Wow, the Control Max 1500 allowed me to paint the shed in less than 35 minutes not including setup and cleanup time. After reading the detailed instructions the setup was easy. Then I used a clean 5 gallon bucket to hold all the paint for the job. The 25 foot long hose only required me to move the bucket and sprayer once. The nozzle provided allowed me to apply 10”-12” wide path of paint with each pass. I would have given it 5 stars but the cleanup took longer than the painting. Overall I enjoyed this painting project and am now looking forward to painting my house.

Excellent, easy sprayer for moderate experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sprayer and unboxed it right away, but the project I had coming up to paint needed to be finished. I made a wood rack in my garage that needed a coat of paint. This had a lot of different angles that I needed to hold the sprayer at that I wouldn't have been able to accomplish as easily with cup-style sprayer. I underestimated the amount of paint needed so I recommend buying extra as this ended up using all of 2 gallons for an area that is roughly 16x13 feet. Make sure when you set it up that the seal is present in the spray gun behind the nozzle, as if it isn't, paint will be sprayed everywhere around you until you pet go of the trigger. The sprayer was excellent at keeping up with me, I would have taken a couple days to finish spraying. My experience with this is just with interior latex paint+primer, but I think this was an easy sprayer to learn to use. Also, if you are planning on spraying anything other than interior latex you might want to purchase another nozzle, as the one it comes with is a 515, which is just a general spray nozzle that covers most paint types. The clean up is not very difficult and I would just recommend having a deep bucket to clean it with as there is some splashing even when following the directions. Overall this sprayer is so much faster than my old cup-style sprayer, that I have trouble thinking of a reason to go back to them except for spraying wood finish.

Overall my best experience painting!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to use and it did an awesome job! I was amazed at the ease of using the control max and the precision and control I had over the spray/pattern. I painted my son's bedroom and only used a paint shield for trim and floorboards instead of having to tape everything off like I would do with brush and/or roller. I would highly recommend for handymen and women. Once summer rolls around I will use this to re-apply paint to my fence.
