Amazing tool
I bought this today and already love it. Possibly the best tool I own. I bought it to use as a straight edge guide for cross-cuts with the Dewalt 575 circular saw which I bought yesterday and it is super fast to use compared to the Craftsman 10" table saw (which I sold yesterday}. I still have a 7 1/4" sliding mitre saw but it's pretty heavy (i'm 76 years old) and I think the circular saw plus Speedlite will be much more efficient for most quick jobs than dragging the mitre saw and table up from the basement to work outside. The Speelite 12" is just heavy enough to be stable while cutting but easy to set up and hold onto..... I could get by without the Mitre saw if I had to. My jobs consist of house hold maintenance... some shelving construction and fencing maintenance.
