After initially writing a review to talk about the issue we were having with the power not always working, we were contacted by the Salton support staff immediately and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how courteous they were. They offered to send us a replacement until as long as we provided proof that we severed the cord of our original unit. It only took about 10 days for the new one to arrive. Thanks so much to the team at Salton for your excellent customer service. 5 STARS!

Same issue as others have reported
We bought this kettle maybe two years ago. It was great until it wasn’t anymore. Now it has a problem with either the power supply or the thermostat. The light comes on and off, sometimes several minutes apart. Clearly there’s a defect on these units so I would suggest you stay away because it’s way too much money to only last a year or two.

Update on our Kettle's previous issue.
We contacted Warranty Support and they were very professional and issue a replacement for us since we were only in the first year of a two year warranty. It took about three weeks to get our replacement and we were fine with that and the replacement works great.
The only minor complaint here is we were not informed that it was on it way to us. So not knowing it was on its way . I sent another email inquiring of the status of our replacement and immediately got a reply and then was given the tracking number with Canada post. I checked it out and it turns out it was waiting to be picked up at our local post office. Which I was pleased to see. Just in the future it would be nice to get a notification that it is on it way to be delivered.

But recently we started to have a problem with the light on the On switch, going off for up to five second at a time, then comes back on. It will repeats this cycle numerous times until the kettle comes to a full boil and that is when the On switch will shut the kettle down as it is suppose too.
Now it has a 2 year warranty and I sure this will be handle in a professional manner. I will then upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

Looks and works great, but….
I really like the kettle but I can not remove the stains on the exterior. Instant coffee has splashed just below the spout and it won’t come off Any suggestions?

Love this kettle, best on the market so far.
