How is the base secured?
Hi. The base is secured with four long spikes in each post. I did not think it was feasible because I secured mine onto a wooden deck, so I used four deck screws instead. It works well for the most part. I remove the covers for the winter, as it gets really windy during those months. So far, so good!

What does "Semi-Permanent" imply. Does it stay standing all winter long just having to take the top polyester top of? What is Semi-Permanent about this?

Great product
We chose to assemble this gazebo and had to redo the top section where the screen and the curtain go and had to take it apart three different times. Was a little confusing but we have it all done.

Great price. Used it on my deck outside and it completely changed the look to much more elegant. We added a chandelier and belted the sides to the deck under the fabric. It was very sturdy and withstood pretty high winds (plus it ubutted the house). I highly recommend.
