The MJ401C-XR is driven by a long life, peak performance rechargeable 28 V lithium-ion battery it will allow you to mow more than 1114-m² (12,000-sq. ft.) without having to be recharged. No replacement key
If something happens to your lawn key, this is useless and the replacement has been out of stock everywhere for ages. At this point I assume the key is out of production. I would avoid this at all cost if I were you.

Battery life
Live that is cordless and lite weight but this thing takes forever to charge and the charge last such a short period of time then you have to charge it again to finish the lawn

bought my MJ401C in 2016, 28v 4Ah non-Brushless
5 stars you ask? I'm still using it! I learned about the MJ401C-XR a few years ago and got excited, being a gear head I already knew that a Brushless motor produces more power and draws less at the same voltage. they updated the battery to 5Ah. my unit would make it through mowing Front and Back yards on a single charge unless I Iet the grass grow to long. my friends with 18-40v mowers have mentioned how their mowers bogg down in the thick grass, mine kicks up to a higher speed. the MJ401C was sold as a mower/mulcher, I use it to vacuum the leaves as it compresses the leaves down to one bag, raking filled 6 bags. this Xmas I'm upgrading to the MJ401C-XR as my grass has grown thicker, trees are much larger and I don't see any other product that performs as well at a great price in the 13-16" range!

Has potential but serious flaws
I purchased this product because I’m overall very happy with my other SunJoe products. This one has a lot to be desired. I’ve only used it twice, but this unit is for a much smaller lawn then mine. I live in a townhouse community and it’s a corner unit, but it’s not a large area. I’m unhappy with the position of the wheels. The high setting on this unit is another’s
vendors low. Also the battery only lasts 30-45 mins if you’re lucky.

Love this little mower!
I wanted an easy lawnmower for me because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I bought a Sun Joe electric lawn mower. It is light enough for me to lift and I plug it in and charge the battery and it did my side yard and all but the middle of my lawn before dying. I’m charging taking a break and should be able to finish it in about an hour. No gas no spark plugs so easy. Push a button and go! I’m happy with it! My next Sun Joe will be wider. It also will probably do the whole lawn if it’s not as long and not as wet. My only wish for future generations of Sun Joe’s is to add something to the handle to keep it on as it is hard with Rheumatoid to hold that down the entire time. I may figure something out for me.
