Description
This Southwire Romex SIMpull 3-conductor cable with a bare grounding conductor may be used for both exposed work in dry locations or concealed work in dry or damp locations for general residential wiring. The cable is manufactured using annealed copper conductors in a PVC/nylon insulation with a a PVC jacket for the overall construction. The conductors feature SIM technology jacket which reduces the coefficient of friction. This cable meets or exceeds ASTM, CSA C22.2 No. 48 and Canadian Electrical Code requirements and is covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
- Unique SIM (slikQuik infused membrane) Jacket construction allows for 50% reduction in pulling force resulting in easier installation, easier stripping, reduced burn-thru and tear resistance
- One conductor has white insulation, one conductor has black insulation and the third conductor has red insulation
- A 90 degree C rated thermoplastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation and a nylon jacket for the individual conductors and a PVC jacket surrounding the overall construction
- Manufactured using annealed (soft) copper conductors, compressed stranding for the stranded conductors
- Bare grounding conductor
- Meet or exceed the requirements of all applicable ASTM specifications, CSA C22.2 No. 48 (non-metallic sheathed cable), and the Canadian electrical code.1
- Material should be properly stored above 0 degree C for 24 hours prior to installation
- May be used for both exposed work in dry locations or concealed work in dry or damp locations
- The maximum allowable conductor temperature is 90 degree C, minimum recommended installation temperature is minus 10 degree C (with suitable handling procedures)
