Chews through the snow
I bought this snowjoe three years ago. It has been a great purchase! It's handled snow of every type (wet, dry, hard-blown). It's so easy to use. The electric chute turning function makes it simple to change directions, direct the snow where I want it to go (not on my neighbour's yard). It's got great throw range (depending on how you set the chute). And I have a big driveway but the one battery usually only uses about half a charge for 6 inches of snow. Not having to deal with electric cords let's me take it wherever I want in the neighborhood (eg. helping out neighbours) and I love not having to worry about the mess of gasoline. I've used it in minus 35 Celsius weather (-31F) with no problems. A few things I've learned about it: 1) Always store the battery in a warm place. Don't leave the battery in the snowblower in a cold place (because lithium batteries stop functioning if they actually cool down below about -25). 2) The snowblower chute could use a silicon (or other slippery--non-icing) gasket between the chute and the main body of the snowblower. It tends to rattle quite a bit. 3) If for some reason it hits an obstacle and stops working, or gets completely choked with heavy snow and stops, clear it any blockage and then hold down the triangular start button for about 20 sec before pulling up the start bar. This will allow the electronics to reset. That info isn't in the manual but it happened to me and I phoned the snowjoe support line and that's what they told me to do.

Great, fully battery operated product no cords.
I bought this product on just days before the first snow and it is true to its word. the battery lasted a long time i was able to clear approximately 3 feet high of snow in a 38 inches wide area on one charge but on lighter drifts of snow the battery has lasted approximately 2 to 3 hours on one charge. When purchasing this product i recommend you purchase a second battery for a long run time for the harder and deeper snow areas. it isn't necessary, but it is practical.

High performance and easy to the use
I have used this blower to clean up 2 winter storms so far. I have been exceptionally happy with its performance. It cleans down to the pavement; throws the snow far across the lawn; even manages to clean up the plow row. I have been using Snow Joes for many years. This is my third purchase. The other two are still in my garage and still working. My first was the electric one. Worked great but the extension cord was something to work around. Bought the 21 inch battery operated Snow Joe. It came with 2 batteries; on occasion I had to use the second battery but never ran out of battery before I ran out of snow. It well out preformed its recommend use. The version has a heavy duty battery - and it has not run out of power yet! I am very happy with this more powerful Snow Joe. It is heavier than its little brother but still very easy to maneuver. It should be noted that I have a 24" gas powered snow blower in the garage - it is heavy, not easy to maneuver and requires gas (and oil). I love my Snow Joes and highly recommend them.

Poor Customer Service
I bought this on sale in Saskatoon for good price. I have found that it is shutting down for first 3-5 pushes into the snow then once it gets going it is pretty powerful but does rattle a fair amount when under load. I am concerned why it is not working properly for first minute or so. I have emailed Snow Joe customer support 3 times in last 9 days and have not heard back, therefore, I would not recommend this product.

TAKE CARE
j'ai acheter cette acticle le mois passé et je ne suis pas très content
to be careful
I bought this snowblower which has a lot of energy on the first outing with a few inches of snow I lost a wheel. I noticed that there was no bearing that was holding the wheel only a screw that I lost. I had to stick the screw so as not to lose the wheel. it's really very cheap for a $ 1000 snowblower. consider this item (wheel) when you go to buy it.

So far so good.. impressed
I just got this Fall 2020. very little snow but we did have some decent snow and the end of the driveway, maybe 10 inches high, thick, wet and heavy. this ripped right through it and granted i took it easy by only using half the blade width and using the push and pull technique - it worked and cleared it all. it did not throw it far but it was far enough. Easy to handle, quiet operation although the chute vibrates more than I thought it would but no big deal. Something not mentioned, you can easily control and get into areas you would not take a larger gas machine.. right up to the side of the house and wall, into tighter areas mostly because it is easy to control. the big jobs are yet to come but I am confident with proper technique it will handle it. one battery should allow me to do most jobs on one charge but I might go with a second battery if they come on sale - getting about 25 minutes.
