Description
Super premium softwood pellet out of Slave Lake, AB, Canada. Made from clean, dry fibre produced in their own sawmill and planer mill operations. Softwood pellets burn hotter and cleaner than hardwood pellets. Sold individually (1 unit) in 40 lb sizes.

I use it for cat litter
Perfect Cat litter!!
Low odor, easy to clean because when they pee, the pellets turn to sawdust and fall to the bottom & it’s super cheap!

Good value!
Inexpensive, dust free, flushable, and can be put in organics waste bin. I used clay products previously but when I rescued two cats from the SPCA, I saw they were using pellets and decided to try them. Now I'll never go back to clay.

As cat litter, not good smell coverage.
I bought this to use as cat litter. The absorbency are exactly the same as pet store bought pine pellets, which are 3x the price.
One thing I did notice is that, even when I'm mixing this wood pellets with the pine pellets at 1:1 ratio. The litter box smell became noticeable vs literally no smell before.
It's a very good litter alternative for cost concern, but if the litter box smell bothers you, then it's not a good choice IMO.
