Description
Install 4 in x 4 in or 6 in x 6 in dressed wood posts using a Simpson Strong-Tie post base. With drainage outlets to reduce rot due to water accumulation, the 14-gauge, hot-dip galvanized post base is for lightweight use, such as pergolas and trellises. This steel post base fulfills the requirements of section 9.23.6.2.1 of the National Building Code of Canada.
- Meets the intent of 9.23.6.2.1 of the National Building Code of Canada 2015 for resisting uplift and lateral movement
- Chamfered corners create a sleeker-looking product
- Available in a black-powder coat for applications that call for a more finished look
- Steel embossments provide added strength
- Drainage outlets help reduce the possibility of water accumulation that can potentially rot the post
