For structural and general-purpose fastening applications where a hex-head drive is preferred. The Strong-Drive SDWH Timber-Hex screw is ideal for the contractor and do-it-yourselfer alike. It is IBC code requirements for several common wood framing applications. It has a bold thread design that provides superior holding power with SawTooth point that ensures fast starts, reduces installation torque, and eliminates the need for predrilling in most applications. With Under-head nibs that offer greater control when seating the head. Has a large washer head that provides maximum bearing area (0.64-in head diameter). Has a double-barrier coating that provides a level of corrosion resistance that is equivalent to hot-dip galvanization (ASTM A153, Class D) in most non-marine environments. Limited Lifetime Warranty.
