Amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never tried products for children's safety. Because of its construction, I thought they were weak. I was surprised how resistant are Safety 1st, Cabinet Slide Lock (2pk) even when children play around with them. Several mothers had them recommended, now I am the one that I recommend. My daughter can not open the cabinets and take things out. I am grateful with Safety 1st, my life now has fewer worries.

I had never tried products for children's safety. Because of its construction, I thought they were weak. I was surprised how resistant are Safety 1st, Cabinet Slide Lock (2pk) even when children play around with them. Several mothers had them recommended, now I am the one that I recommend. Easy to Install, But Check Your Application
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We primarily use magnetic style latches on our cabinets, but we decided to give the slide locks a shot since we like other Safety 1st products. We like that the locks don't require any real installation before they're ready for use, you simply press both buttons to release the latch and slide it out. Fortunately, the latch/lock stays on the longer end of the slides so there's no chance of separating the two and losing a piece. It also slides back on easily whether or not you use the buttons, like a zip tie. It's very secure and childproof, as you need to press and hold both buttons to release, and the strength you need to do so strikes just the right balance between childproof and adultproof. The slides are also just flexible enough in case you need to fit them in/over an oddly shaped handle, such as a refrigerator handle. We also like that you can remove these without any trace left when your child is old enough to stay out of cabinets. No glue or tape residue, screw holes, etc. However, I recommend you check your cabinet handle style and spacing before buying these. Specifically, if you have knobs rather than the closed handles, you might find that you can twist off the entire lock if it's not at it's tightest setting. We also felt that the two ends of the slide are still too sharp, and could cause some harm to a toddler if they were to run into it at the right angle (it's also around face height for toddlers, scary!). Note that like many cabinet locks, you need two hands to operate this one (free hands are a luxury when parenting!). Overall, the slide locks are great solutions for temporary use, but there are definitely some annoyances that would make us ditch these for other options.

really good locks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock works really well for our cabinets under the kitchen sink. My 18 month old son loves to run into the kitchen and pull open the cabinets, so this works really well to keep the cleaning products out of his reach. Easy to open and close and they are secure. I really like that I don't have to worry with that on.

really good locks
This lock works really well for our cabinets under the kitchen sink. My 18 month old son loves to run into the kitchen and pull open the cabinets, so this works really well to keep the cleaning products out of his reach. Easy to open and close and they are secure. I really like that I don't have to worry with that on.

Great for small children

Didn't work for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is a great idea. Just didn't work for me. It was too loose and my toddler kept pulling at it and I thought he might break it or break my cabinet. I'm sure it would work on other cabinets.
