What is the material? Granular slate, granite? I want to in bonsai potting mixture and hope that it won't leach out some sort of toxic dust.

Perfect for My Large Scale Garden Railway
I discovered this wonderful product about 5 years ago, and buy it every winter for my large outdoor (garden) railway. The stone is perfect for ballast under the track. It is the right colour as well as size. It works like stone dust without the dust.
