Description
Use Gator sandpaper for smoothing various tough surfaces. Made of silicon carbide, this sandpaper is perfect for wet sand situations and offers extra fine finishing. The 400 grit sandpaper is ideal for light sanding between coats of finish and for sanding metal. Sold in packs of five, it measures 9 in x 11 in.
- 400 Grit sheets are best for wet sanding before coats of primer
- When sanding wood, 400 grit waterproof sheets are ideal for final smoothing to top coats
- Made with premium silicon carbide grain, which offers a higher cut rate and uniform scratch pattern which makes it perfect for achieving fine finishes
- Use dry during the preparation phase of a project, usually when removing existing finishes, rust and oxidation
- Use dry when sanding and shaping body fillers and primer coats
- The ultra flexible latex backing offers ultimate flexibility and allows the sheets to be soaked in water for an extended duration for wet sanding
- The grain is resin bonded for superior grit adhesion
- Use with water to help lubricate the surface during sanding which helps to prevent build-up of particles on your sandpaper and helps reduce scratches on your project
- Sheets can be cut-to-fit 1/2 sheet, 1/3 sheet, or 1/4 sheet sanders
