This review is specific to the upright. Like some other reviews, I have to agree that the new upright design is a step in the wrong direction for the FastTrack system. The older design had a cleaner finished look, it fit snug to the track, had a shallower depth so the completed shelf system fit closer to the wall, and was almost 3" longer in total length (comparison between old and new 25" product). The new upright hangs very loose and does not provide that secure connection. Definately some opportunity here to improve the design.

Is still a post. Thankfully this Rubbermaid product is as advertised. Pretty simple piece that does what it's supposed to. It's not the posts fault the the slots are too close together to comfortably han cabinets side-by-side. Otherwise, simple and necessary piece of the Rubbermaid puzzle.

Need different size...
Wanted rack system to go in bedroom between window seal and baseboards. None of the sizes are a good fit for this need. I bought the 25" ones that have hook mounting (slanted slots) but they slide back and forth. I could drive a screw into the bottom to prevent this and probably will. The attachment the 25" upright attaches to with 5 holes seems as if it should work but I was only able to drive 1 or 2 into studs the rest aren't anchored properly. To adjust for stud issues if you guys could drill holes every 2 or 4" it would probably address this. and probably offer a lot of flexibility for the fact that homes are never exact. You should also offer a bottom anchor for people who buy the top anchor. I will probably return the top hooked mount and directly attach the uprights to a stud. This is lost revenue for you. If I drill the bottom while attached to the top mount it will be offset by the top one. It would also be nice if the hook portion of the upright offered more than one hook attachment are. Perhaps offset 6 inches

Ok - expensive
The overall system isn't bad, but it's very expensive. Less expensive to install a 2x4 an buy screw in brackets. If I had to do it again, I would not use these product because of cost. If they lowered their coat and shipping charges, I would reconsider. Plus I don't like it when manufactures stamp their name on items that is very visible.

Exactly what I was looking for.
47.5 " uprights and brackets work great, easy to install and gave me all the room I need to reduce clutter in my garage. I plan to purchase more as my needs for storage grow.

The old design was much better.
I have some of the old design and the brackets that clamped to the track were much more sturdy. The new design will work but doesn't clamp tightly and just hooks to the top of the track. It seems more wobbly. It seems to hold just fine but I fear that if they are bumped from underneath, the whole thing could fall.
