Description
Rubberflex EPDM rubber granules are flexible, shock absorbing and slip resistant. This product must be mixed and poured on site (concrete, cement, asphalt) for interior or exterior use. For optimal adhesion, a coat of aliphatic primer is highly recommended (sold separately RFCA1G). The poured rubber is flexible, resistant to temperature variation from hot to cold. It retains its shape and color. The rubber surface is antibacterial and easy to clean. Sold as a kit: 1 bag of granules - Pearl + 1 aliphatic binder - 2 items.

How thin can it be?
Use 3/8 inch screed boards for accuracy, trowel down to 1/4 inch or slightly less...whatever it trowels down to smooth and flat.

If I need a 1” depth, how much surface area will one kit cover? Thanks!
I have installed this product for the last 15 years. Rona/Lowes has "shrunk" the weight from 55 pounds per bag to 44 pounds, resulting in a reduction from 40 square feet down to 32 or 33 square feet per bag. Basically, one bag per 4x8 sheet of plywood. Shrinkflation anyone????? The price certainly didn't go down with the weight reduction.

It says the binder is included. Does it change color as it cures? Does it need resealing each year?
The colour fades over time due to UV exposure, and will become slightly darker upon adding the resin. You 100% need to prime the surface that you want to install overtop of, recommend a 80% - 20% resin to paint thinner.
Be sure to add a lubricate on your trowel only after it is roughly graded at 1/2" before sealing to 1/4"
You can use WD40, spray your trowel and swipe (close) the rubber (90% closed or sealed) two or three times before reapplying WD40.
No need to reseal each year, lasts 10-15 years if professionally installed.

Definately NOT a DIY product
This product is not so easily installed and mixing the product thoroughly without some sort of machinery is almost impossible unless you are doing small batches. Concrete is much easier to work with than this stuff. Instructions on youtube make everything look so easy but in my opinion I would leave it to the professionals to install.
