What is used as the binder for the briquettes?
Thank you for your inquiry. Classic or Premium briquets are made with food starch and other proprietary ingredients. Royal Oak's Brand of 100% hardwood charcoal briquets are "All Natural". No artificial additives. The only ingredients are:
Hardwood Char- exclusively from hickory and oak hardwoods.
Food starch- used as a binder in the process of making briquets.
