Description
Reduces chloramine, chlorine, sediment, dirt, rust. Chloramine disinfectant is used by many municipalities to treat water. It gives water a strong taste and odour, not easily removed by most cartridges. To use with most rainfresh undersink filters and drinking water systems. Fits virtually all other standard water filters.

Can this filter be used for a whole house application to reduce chloramines and chlorine along with a sediment filter, if so does rain fresh sell a unit for this purpose in a clear glass.
The short answer is NO. The CA1 chloramine cartridge is rated for only 1GPM. A typical home can have water flow rates of 5 or 7 GPM and at those flow rates performance will be minimal and will cause a substantial drop in water pressure in the house. Secondly, the cartridge has a life of 1,000 gal which is great for undersink use but can get used up in just a few days in a wholehouse scenario (showers toilet flushes etc.
For whole house use, we recommend Rainfresh CCAF1 chloramine and chlorine reduction filter (RONA Article #330720310) which is specifically designed to handle whole house flow and volume. You can buy it online from RONA website with free shipping.
