The Project Source 2 Inch Privacy Blinds offer the traditional look of faux wood or real wood blinds at a fraction of the cost. These blinds are engineered with a micro-angle edge, adding additional strength to each slat. The blinds are 30% lighter weight than faux wood blinds, yet still extremely durable. Good blind for the money
We bought this for the kitchen. My wife wanted something for the window over the sink that would be washable and provide privacy, and she did not feel that a cellular would be suitable. She wanted something with large slats, not a miniblind, and we picked this from the available choices largely based on price.
It was easy to trim to the right width, but very awkward to shorten to the desired length. It is not really designed to be shortened and there are no instructions for doing so, but we figured it out. We did that because there would otherwise have been a lot of unsightly bunched up cords showing even in the down position.
It fits, it looks quite good either up or down, but there is a fair bulk of exposed cordage when in the up position that we plan to hide behind a fabric pelmet. We thought the blind would have thicker vinyl wood-look white slats, but they are smooth, quite thin and light, getting their shape retention from edges that are slightly angled to provide rigidity.
This works for us and the price was good, but I think we both would have preferred to pay more to get a blind with thicker slats and concealed cords that would have been less trouble to shorten. We had some at our previous home but maybe you can't buy those any more in Canada due to regulatory changes.
