Shelving size smaller then expected
The description of the assembled depth of 8 inches is of the bottom base only.
The actual shelving depth is 3.5 inches.
Good for figurine display.

Prepac knows how to build them!
Great shelf, I'm downsizing and fits the room perfectly. Also holds a great amount of bluray movies.I had the triple width one, prepac knows how to build them! Thank you!

Worth it for the Price on sale
So I bought this to replace my old unit that didn't match the rest of my entertainment units. Looking at the specs and seeing the picture lead me to believe that it would be perfect for all my DVDs and VHS tapes. I have attached pictures to explain along with my review. So the specs say that the depth of this unit is 8inches assembled I figured at most about an inch or so but the shelves are actually only about 5inches maybe less wide I was very disappointed with this because it means double editions or boxsets end up having a serious overhang.
Probably the number one reason for me not giving this 4 stars is because of the bottom shelves, you get lots of shelves for CD spacing but when spaced out for DVDs and boxsets you end up with this very ugly strange space at the bottom of the unit..I'm trying to figure out how to maybe change it up to look less junkie but it was a big disappointment for me as I was expecting with DVDs to have 6 shelves.
Overall the unit is nice, it arrived covered in sawdust and had some scratches etc but they include a pen to use to rub over the marks and that cleared most of it up..still its disappointing for something to arrive scratched and with damages like that. It wasn't enough of an issue for me to consider sending back as I only paid 130 since it was on sale. The anti-tip is amazing! I have a cat who jumped on it right away and had me worried but it didn't fall over it rocked back into the wall and stabilized so I was pleased with that. Overall the unit seems pretty sturdy once its put together. So I would say its worth your skeptical cash, if you have mainly blu-ray or video games this will work fine for you but if you want it for specialty boxsets or books I'd give this a pass unless you want to make your own new shelves that are a longer width.
