The temperature ranges between 180° and 500°F, but can reach 1000°F with a direct-flame broiler, perfect for searing! It also comes with an 850 sq. in. cooking area with two tiers of removable cooking grids. This powerful machine delivers unbeatable results using 100% all-natural hardwood fuel.

How come when you call pit boss help line they are saying it goes up in 10 degrees at a time for pro series 11 850 model

What temperature does this model increase by? Does it go up by 10 degrees or 25 degrees

Because of the lid being made of steel (painted steel) how resistant is it to the weather elements (rust)
Is there a firmware update available for the Pit Boss Pro Series 2 850 (PB850PS2) that allows proper temperature set or there is only one for the PB1150PS2 ??

So far So good!
I bought this unit this past weekend. We have done steak and burgers on it so far with zero major issues. Clean out for hopper is nice but no clean out for burn chamber. A little more maintenance than a bbq but so far I’m enjoying it. As many the app and account has been an issue but Pit Boss customer service was excellent. I’m glad we made this choice

Stand up grill….bang for buck against traeger all day long pit boss! Yes app is a little weak compared to traeger but we are talking about bbq and 400 dollars cheaper…no brainer! Love my grill!!

Perfect temp control
So far so good.
My first attempt making ribs turned out well.
Temperature held solid at the set point I chose despite the wind blowing and snow storm.
Very impressed .
Only negative I can't get it to connect to wifi.
It will connect to my phone with Bluetooth but no luck getting it to update firmware or connecting to wifi.

I bought a week ago, very pleased with the simplicity of operation. I Love the wi fi control very handy to keep up on the temperature. Did chicken thighs and drums, then did a pork shoulder. Turned out amazing
