Could this fireplace sit on top of a table rather than be wall mounted? Can the ember bed colors be set to change automatically to fade out and into the next color or do you have to change the colors with the remote?

why the manufacturer asks to install the fireplace at a height of 36 ”from the floor when in the photos of the customers no one does.

just installed this fireplace today and looks great, nice array of colour to choose if desired, installation was pretty straight forward .we decided to flush mount and worked well
