Great design. High quality steel and paint
These are a clever design perfect for a slope cement walkway. Since each section is a egg karate these can handle flat or sloped surfaces. I just bent the one side bracket with pliers to match the 6 degree slope I needed. I recommend this item for it’s flexibility and multiple applications.

Long Term Test
Bought three years ago to extend my deck railing into a privacy lattice fence with these post extenders. Thought they would wiggle but no - rock solid. Impressed with long term strength and look. I would strongly recommend.

Very sturdy mount compared to direct installation
I got these brackets to install bench on the patio (low level deck). It is easy to use and 4x4 post did not move after installation. Only issue I have is the screws provided with it as it is not clear if it is ACQ standard. Also screws are bit short (about 1 3/4") to reach joist if you are looking install it above deck board. Better to buy additional long structural screws if you want to include decking board to ensure it is safe.

Better than the deck mounted options
I purchased some deck mounted brackets which left a lot to be desired in stability.
These are more stable, and have increased the usability of our (narrow) deck.
They are relatively easy to install, however, ensuring they are plumb is a bit difficult by yourself. I suggest only putting the fasteners loosely when securing to the deck, and tightening them once you are satisfied with their position.
