Sturdy, good value but difficult instructions
This gate hardware is common in Australia. It works really well if you know how to install it. It is not intuitive and if the instructions are not carefully followed, will be frustrating to get it to work properly. I was lucky to have seen it installed on many gates and got mine to work perfectly on my backyard pool fence. It is sturdy and good value for the money, but a real pain to install if you do not follow the instructions.

Instructions are impossible to follow
The instructions and pictures are impossible to follow. It shows and says to use a 1.5" bolt to go through the picket and cross member of the gate. The cross member is usually a 2x4 (depicted as 2x4 on the included picture) so that alone makes the bolt too short. I drilled out the hole for the bolt before I looked at how long it was leaving me with a bolt that is too short and a hole in its place so I couldn't even use a screw. Ruined my newly built gate. Bad product with bad instructions.

Nice door handles
Bought 3 sets for our cottage to install on the barn style homade doors, they are easy to work with and work well. If they were cast iron it would look much better since these are stamped steel, but good bang for your buck.

Really substandard
Gate lever won't stay in place, and instructions are pretty much nonexistent. Threw it out after many attempts to install.

Absolute garbage!
The thumb latch is so flimsy that my 115lb wife bent it the second time she used it just trying to get the gate open. It's completely hollow and just isn't going to last. Further to that, it doesn't actually stay in the gate all that well - it's pretty easy for it to just pop out the other end and fall to the ground.

Not Great
Purchased this 3 months ago, the thumb latch is loose and can come loose and slide out or be stollen. Tried cutting a notch into the thumb latch shaft so it would slide out...helped but still not a great design.

Lever doesn’t snap into place
Might just be me, but the thumb lever won’t lock into place so if you open the gate from the backside, it’s very easy to accidentally push the lever right out of the hole and fall to the ground. Design flaw? Sure seems like it to me.
