Some guy from
Fantastic for lathe-turned bowls
I use this almost exclusively as a finish for bowls that I lathe turn, and have for many years. Looks soft and warm, builds up an attractive sheen after two or three applications. (Some of the wood I work with is very old, exceptionally dry, and very thirsty, so those require more applications). Very nice and durable finish. I recommend this over anything else.

Easy application, beautiful results
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We restore historic homes and MinWax is our go-to brand for returning old woodwork to it's former beauty. Our most recent project using MinWax Antique Oil finish was to restore moisture and shine to a 100+ year old staircase. We didn't want to change the rich color, so we gently removed dirt build up first and then hand rubbed the finish into the wood paneling, stair rails and newel posts. The wood was thirsty so we used three coats as well as some spot touch ups to assure a smooth even finish. The end result was beautiful. It kept all the character of the rich walnut wood while adding shine and smoothness. This is a product that is easy to use - you don't need to be a professional to use it to restore antique woodwork or furniture. Just be sure to use sparingly and apply with a soft cloth for best results. If applying multiple coats, be sure to allow time to dry between coats.

Great for DIY Projects
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to refinish an old wooden trunk my family pasted down to me. I like working on DIY projects and I was able to use the magic in this bottle to bring the trunk back to life. It had been in storage for years and looking a bit neglected but you would never know it now that I am done. The instructions were easy to follow and after a few coats I was all done. The finished product was a rich antique finish that I hoped for. I will already have plans for an old chair and I cannot wait to start!

Must have for wood projects
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you frequently work with wood, this product is a must have! I’ve used it on several projects so far. Most recently, I used it to restore an old armoire. I applied a few coats with an old cloth and it’s the perfect amount of luster/shine. It dries very quickly and leaves a smooth, waterproof finish. Highly recommend this product.

Totally restored my cabinet!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a small liquor cabinet at an antique shop, and it was looking very dull. This antique oil finish brought it back to life. It was very easy to apply, and dried fairly quickly. With proper ventilation, the smell isn’t bad. I would use this again, for sure.

Love this for my antiques

It was easy to use with no fear of damaging my pieces and I would definitely use it again and again to protect and beautify real wood to stand the test of time and to hold up in a high moisture environment.
