My brand new (20 minutes out of the box) unit make a “whistling/squeaking” noise while operating. Is this something other owners have experienced? We also had a rattle- but that’s more intermittent.

Do we need to connect it to a window. Is it really cooling AC without any ducts connection

I am confused. Annonce says 12000btu, but unit number says 14000btu. Which is it. I need to also see a link plz of the window kit that is supplied with the unit. Thx in advance for your response.

Hi, mine seems to operate but it doesnt cooling... it happen suddenly yesterday... the 2 fans works and the compressor too but there is no cool at all. Could it be a refrigerant leak or a not working sensor?

Bonjour Richivalence, merci pour votre commentaire, pour un meilleur fonctionnement de votre climatiseur, vous devrez installer le tuyau d’échappement à l’extérieur de votre maison. Mais la fenêtre est la meilleure position pour l’installation. Cela permet à l’air chaud d’être déchargé

Love This Thing
I bought this unit 2 years ago after lots of research into the best portable air conditioners. It was a great purchase. It is quiet and cools my 500 sqft open living area very well. I have lots of south facing windows and before I bought this unit it would get up to 30 C inside in no time. I seriously considered moving. Now I live at a comfortable 22 C. No complaints and I highly recommend it.

this is very good AC
I bought this device just last saturday and it is performing very good. We have heat wave and this thing is bringing temperatures to 19 degrees although outside is 43. I didnt expect it to be this good because it is portable. I was debating between Whynter and this one but took this one because I like one hose design and it is actually 2 hoses packed in one.
It definitely beats heat wave and cools good one bedroom apartment which is about 450 sqft. Hope it will last at least 2 seasons and then after that I would buy another one. We are not allowed to have window air conditioner. I had LG 1419IVSM single hose and that did nothing can maybe cool small room. But this machine nails it very good

Je ne recommande pas ce produit, il est silencieux, c'est la seule qualité qu'il possède. Tout la journée et il a réduit la chaleur de 28 à 27 degrés l'intérieur de mon logement. Complètement inefficace!!

Great airco
Moved into an apartment after 50 years of houses and it needed airco. This unit is in our living room / kitchen of about 400 square ft and it is superb. Very quiet, great circulation, automatically quiets itself down once temp is reached but keeps gently pushing out cold air. Very happy with this purchase.

Stopped blowing cold after 5 Months of use
Bought this at the end of July 22, used for 2 months in 2022, and 3 months in 2023 (Jul, Aug, Sept). Just hooked up this past week and no longer blows cold. Under 2 years old and no longer works. Provided receipts and made a claim but no warranty after 1 year. Midea gave me a contact number to see about repairs that i could do on my end, but their contact(company they use) does not service these machines nor does anyone else in my area which is frustrating. I would steer away from these and go with a more reliable AC with better customer care and make sure there is someone in your region who can service the brand of AC unit in your deciding on purchasing.

Dead after 2 summers
Worked 2 summers but this year it doesn’t cool anymore. Everything seems to work, I can hear the compressor running, but even after an hour the air is not cold and the outside exhaust is not even warm (it used to get very hot). The AC I had before was a no name 150$ one worked for 10 years, this 900$ one didn’t even make it to a third of that.
