Can this unit be used on it's side. I have sliding windows like a lot of people. If it could sit on it's side it would be a great unit. It's quiet and easy to set up. We just put one in a wall to replace an older unit.

Great product! Worth the price!
We bought a hundred year old house last year. The upper floor bedrooms were not cooled at all by our central AC which doesn't have proper ductwork. We looked into options and got quotes for a dual zone mini split system which with electrical work would cost me over $12K. I was desperate until I came across this Midea U-shaped window AC. It cost me under $1K with some electrical work installed, doing it myself. It's been a month now and it works great! Keeps the upper floor cool and kills humidity, and above all it is reasonably quiet. For the comfort I am getting for this price, I couldn't be happier and recommend it to anyone with similar problem.
