I've had mixed success with these traps, and would echo the earlier comments that the big yellow pedal seems to keep the mouse from getting in close (I've had traps disappear or be left empty of bait and mouse alike), and that the trigger is too sensitive. While these traps should still do the trick, the older style with the metal pedal works better. Newer isn't always better.

Great product, Poor Quality
Bought about a month ago and very quickly caught 3 mice. However the 'U' pins/nails holding the spring to the wood base pop after 5 or 6 usages rendering the product good for the garbage. So buyer beware!

Better than the metal ones
I bought both metal and plastic traps. You still have to put bait in the fake cheese but it gets the mice. With the metal ones, the mice get the bait without triggering the trap. Plastic ones work!!
